22 November 2024 - The Australian Government’s Digital ID app, myGovID has changed its name to myID. The app allows you to securely log into and use government services online.

1 June 2023 - This initiative improves access to primary care in rural and remote areas. It allows states and the Northern Territory to claim Medicare benefits for primary health care services at approved health facilities or sites.

11 September 2026 - The Life Saving Drugs Program (LSDP) Expert Panel considers all applications to list new medicines on the LSDP. The panel assesses medicines and advises the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) about listing medicines. It also reviews medicines already on the program.

30 April 2026 - Residential respite care gives an older person or their carer a break from their usual care arrangements. It can be on a planned or emergency basis. Providers should monitor how many days of respite care a person is approved for and request an extension if needed.
