9 October 2025 - Every resident pays a basic daily fee to contribute to the costs of their daily living. Different rates apply depending on which fee arrangements they are on.

1 October 2025 - Residential aged care providers must provide residents with a minimum number of minutes of care per day, and have at least one registered nurse (RN) onsite and on duty at all times at each residential facility.
