14 January 2025 - The Primary Care Enhancement Program for people with intellectual disability (PCEP) is a pilot project operating in four Primary Health Network regions. The PCEP is being delivered between July 2020 and June 2026.

12 March 2025 - Some people are at higher risk of getting COVID-19, or of getting severe illness, getting long COVID or dying from COVID-19. If you are at high risk, you should take extra precautions – especially getting vaccinated – and talk to your doctor. You might be eligible for antiviral medicines.

19 October 2023 - Ask Izzy is an online Disability Advocacy Finder tool. People with disabilities, carers and their families can use it to search for independent disability advocacy providers in their area. It can connect them with government-funded disability advocacy agencies and support services any time of day.

10 October 2024 - The Hearing Services Program funds services to provide comprehensive hearing assessments and rehabilitation, annual reviews, advice, monitoring, support and access to hearing devices. If fitted with a hearing device, you can access subsidised maintenance.

20 February 2024 - Volunteers will be supported and trained by the aged care provider they volunteer with. Learn more about what you can expect, resources you can access and training pathways beyond volunteering.

5 September 2024 - The Intellectual Disability Health Education and Training Expert Advisory Group was established in 2021. The group gives advice on the education and training related actions under the National Roadmap for Improving the Health of People with Intellectual Disability.

28 January 2025 - The Psychosocial Project Group is developing a plan for future arrangements for providing psychosocial supports outside the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

16 April 2024 - We want to support more people with intellectual disability to have annual health assessments. An annual health assessment is a comprehensive assessment of a person. It provides a structured way to identify health issues and conditions that are potentially preventable.

29 April 2025 - The Roadmap Implementation Governance Group oversees the implementation of the national roadmap for improving the health of people with intellectual disability.
