30 September 2026 - Governments have agreed to deliver more supports in the community for people with disability outside of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). These are called Foundational Supports.

21 August 2026 - The helpline provides short term and phone-based disability advocacy support, no matter where you live in Australia. They may refer you to other supports in your local area based on your individual needs.

20 May 2026 - The Australian Government has announced it is introducing additional consumer protections for Support at Home participants The government will also pause the implementation of price caps for Support at Home services.

13 September 2024 - The DSOA Program supports older people with disabilities who cannot be supported by the in-home aged care system and were not eligible for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) when it was rolled out in their region. The program does not accept new clients.

4 August 2025 - This collection includes the manual for DSOA Program service providers and all its appendices.
