The department has released the updated Prescribed List (PL) post-listing review framework (framework). The post-listing review capability was introduced as part of the PL Reforms. The framework provides a transparent approach to the post-listing review process and is used by the department to guide it’s conduct of post-listing reviews.

The framework outlines how the department:

  • identifies devices that may be appropriate for a post-listing review
  • prioritises devices identified as appropriate for a post-listing review
  • determines the scope of a post-listing review
  • undertakes a post-listing review
  • informs and consults with stakeholders and sponsors during the post-listing review
  • actions the outcomes and actions arising from a post-listing review.

The framework incorporates learnings from the pilot post-listing reviews stakeholders’ feedback. The department would like to thank all stakeholders for their input into the framework.
