This circular is to advise of the publication of two (2) documents to support hospitals and insurers in their negotiations about alternative funding arrangements for some general use items which may be removed from the Prostheses List.
These documents are now available on the Department’s Prostheses List Reforms and Reviews webpage.
The Department has also published the Working Paper developed by the Industry Working Group (IWG) on Cardiac Technical Support Services established under the Australian Government’s Agreement with the Medical Technology Association of Australia (MTAA). This paper was finalised in December 2020 and is also available on the Prostheses List Reform and Review website.
