This circular is to advise stakeholders of the publication of the draft Guide to prepare an application to the Prescribed List of Benefits for Medical Devices and Human Tissue Products (the Guide).
We invite stakeholders to review and provide feedback on the Guide by completing a short survey.
The purpose of the Guide is to assist stakeholders to prepare an application to list a medical device or human tissue product on the Prescribed List of Benefits for Medical Devices and Human Tissue Products, or to amend an existing billing code.
The Guide incorporates the reform work undertaken including:
- changes to the assessment pathways
- refreshed governance structure
- legislation amendments
- cost recovery provisions.
All feedback should be provided by Friday 28 July 2023.
