$43 million for research into the better use of genomics in diagnoses and the improved mental health and wellbeing of vulnerable people

Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) grant opportunities to the value of $43 million are now available.

Applications are open for the following MRFF grant funding:

  • $28 million under the 2023 Genomics Health Futures grant opportunity to improve the use of genomics for diagnostic purposes. This includes early detection and targeted treatment of the most common cancers
  • $15 million under the 2023 Mental Health Research grant opportunity to improve the mental health of priority populations and to develop new models of care. The grant opportunity will also support projects that protect the mental wellbeing of people affected by environmental threats or the COVID-19 pandemic.
