On 1 July 2024, the merger of Australian College of Audiology (ACAud) and Hearing Aid Audiology Society of Australia (HAASA) took effect.
The program is updating its records to acknowledge the previous HAASA members who are now registered with ACAud incorporating HAASA. The program has updated its website to ensure relevant content aligns with the ACAud and HAASA merger. The changes regarding qualified and provisional practitioners and the approved membership categories for the new entity are available on the program’s Practitioner Requirements page.
Additional updates have been made to the Portal User Guide; and PPB Member Category Sample Certificates page.
Providers are reminded to check their practitioners’ QP membership regularly. If providers have any linked QPs who were previously registered with HAASA, please immediately check they have obtained membership with ACAUD incorporating HAASA from 1 July 2024. If any practitioners have not registered with a PPB from 1 July 2024, providers must immediately delink them from their business in the portal.
Requesting New QP Numbers: When requesting a new QP number for an approved member of ACAud incorporating HAASA, please select the ACAud option only.
