National Lung Cancer Screening Program Expert Advisory Committee

The National Lung Cancer Screening Program Expert Advisory Committee provides clinical advice on the quality and safety of the National Lung Cancer Screening Program (NLCSP).

The NLCSP Expert Advisory Committee is one of 2 groups that gives us advice on the NLCSP.

The committee is a multidisciplinary group that provides expert advice to promote best-practice lung cancer screening. The committee’s role is to provide advice and support for:

  • developing and finalising various program products and operations, including the NLCSP Program Guidelines
  • research related to prevention and screening of lung cancer, including optimal patient care and equitable access within the health system
  • disseminating education and resources that support clinical implementation.

We appoint committee members either as representatives of their organisation or as individuals. Members consult and collaborate with their organisation or other experts in their field. Members will also help to distribute education and information resources to their sector.
