Role
The role of the Clinical Categories Review Advisory Committee is to evaluate the effectiveness of the clinical categories introduced as part of the first wave of private health insurance reforms. The committee will examine feedback from stakeholders about whether the clinical categories have:
- made it easier for consumers to understand the Gold, Silver, Bronze and Basic hospital product tiers
- benefited the wider private health insurance industry.
