Section 33 Instrument – Summary

The NDIS Amendment (Getting the NDIS Back on Track No. 1) Act 2024 will commence on 3 October. We are calling it the ‘Amending Act’. The Amending Act introduces the idea of funding amounts, funding components and funding periods
and allows the Minister to make a new instrument under section 33(2E).

National Disability Advocacy Program (NDAP) Operational Guidelines

This Operational Guidelines has been developed, as an adjunct to the DSS’ Programme Guidelines, for the National Disability Advocacy Program (NDAP). The NDAP Operational Guidelines provide more specific information about the program, and should be viewed in conjunction with DSS Programme Guidelines.

Auslan – How to handle an incident

The Disability Services and Inclusion Act 2023 (the DSI Act) requires service providers to have an incident management system. This includes a process to record and manage incidents that happen in connection with providing supports or services to people with disability.
