Aged Care Provider Workforce Survey 2026
Data collection for the Aged Care Provider Workforce Survey 2026 has now finished.
The survey collected information on workforce size and composition from a select sample of services across the following service types:
- residential aged care services
- the Support at Home program
- the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP)
- Multi-Purpose Services (MPS)
- the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Flexible Aged Care Program (NATSIFAC).
Findings from this survey will be published on the AIHW website in 2027.

Aged Care Worker Survey
The Aged Care Worker Survey 2024 builds on findings from the Aged Care Provider Workforce Survey to:
- address current data limitations and knowledge gaps
- strengthen data on workforce demographics, employment arrangements, skills and training
- collate information on workforce attraction, retention and satisfaction.
Data from this survey has been published in the Aged Care Worker Survey 2024 report. A summary of the report highlighting key findings is available.
