Webinar content
Home Care Package (HCP) approved providers and service providers are encouraged to participate in the webinar.
The presenters will provide details on the new reporting requirements that have been incorporated into the 2021-22 Aged Care Financial Report (ACFR).
These changes are responding to recommendations from the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety to improve accountability and transparency on how providers use subsidies and fees.
The first amended ACFR will be due by 31 October 2022.
The Department of Health (the department) will also introduce a new Quarterly Financial report from July 2022. The data requirements for the quarterly report will be a subset of the annual report.
To learn more about this and how to prepare your data/systems to meet the new requirements and to download a draft copy of the ACFR visit the department’s website.
In addition, the presenters will provide information about the HCP Program Assurance Reviews (the Reviews) for HCP which will commence in October 2021.
These Reviews aims to:
- deliver better value for senior Australians and the Australian taxpayer;
- help drive unfair costs out of the system; and
- ensure home care services offer value for money, are affordable and that pricing is transparent.
During the webinar you will have the opportunity to share comments on what you think about the new reporting requirements and the HCP Program Assurance Reviews and ask questions.
Financial Reporting Question and Answers are included in the Webinar. If your question was not answered during the Webinar please email your enquiry direct to hcoperations@health.gov.au.
A Program Assurance Questions and Answers document has been created following the provider questions from the webinar.
