The government will continue to fund the majority of your aged care with support at home replacing the Home Care Packages program from the 1st of November.

If you were receiving a home care package or were assessed as eligible for a home care package on or before the 12th of September 2024, you will pay the same or lower contributions then you are liable for under the Home Care Packages Program.

For people assessed for Home Care Services after the 12th of September 2024, your supported home contributions will be determined by an assessment of your income and assets.

If you are not on a pension, you will need to provide income and assets information to Services Australia for your contribution rates to be assessed.
