Coronavirus (COVID-19) – Video – How to do a nasal rapid antigen test

This video, in English, provides instructions on how to do a COVID-19 nasal rapid antigen test.

Start by washing your hands thoroughly. 

Open the rapid antigen test box. 

Check the instructions for your test 

and make sure it has not passed its expiry date. 

Insert the soft end of the stick into one nostril all the way. 

Move the stick around in the nostril for 15 seconds. 

Repeat for your other nostril. 

Put the soft end of the stick in the tube and stir 10 times. 

Squeeze the tube as you remove the stick. 

Put the cap on the tube. 

Squeeze 3 to 4 drops into the well on the test. 

Wait 10 to 20 minutes and read the result. 

Positive: You have COVID-19. 

Negative: You do not have COVID-19. 

Invalid: The test did not work. You need to do another. 

Put the test in the bin and wash your hands again.
