Scyne Advisory modelled and assessed potential impacts of reducing the number of service items in the Hearing Services Program. Scyne consulted with stakeholders to inform recommendations on the service items.

The National Acoustic Laboratories (NAL) evaluated the Hearing Services Program devices and their features. NAL consulted with device suppliers and made recommendations to update the minimum specifications for subsidised devices. The minimum specifications had not been reviewed for over 20 years.
