Updated Memorandum of Understanding with the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) outlines how the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing and the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission will work together under the Aged Care Act 2024.

The MoU has been updated to align with the Aged Care Act 2024.

The MoU recognises and supports both the distinct roles and responsibilities of the Department and the Commission, as well as the many linked functions shared between the two agencies.

The purpose of the MoU is to support effective collaboration, ensuring both agencies work together to advance the Australian Government’s aims for the aged care system.
