The BSRIWG was established to develop options for a revised framework for benefit setting and benefit review for the Prostheses List.
It was due to provide its report to the Minister for Health and the Medical Technology Association of Australia Chairman by 30 June 2020. Because of COVID‑19, this did not occur and the report was finalised without the planned final meeting of the BSRIWG.
This report was developed based on discussions by the BSRIWG and includes options developed by the University of Sydney. This report includes:
- issues with current Prostheses Listing arrangements
- discussions of the BSRIWG
- potential options for new listing and benefit setting arrangements.
