The National Immunisation Strategy 2019-2024, builds upon the success of the first National Immunisation Strategy 2013-2018.

The Strategy comprises eight strategic priority areas to complement and strengthen the National Immunisation Program.

Its aim is to outline the framework for the prevention and severe outcomes of disease by maximising immunisation coverage in people of all ages.

It is consistent with Australian, state and territory government collective efforts and outlines Australia’s key role in the Asia-Pacific region.
