Description:

The National Haemopoietic Progenitor Cell (HPC) Framework (the Framework) was endorsed by all Australian governments in October2021. The Framework represents commitment from all governments to provide a policy basis for the effective, evidence-based future operations and management of the Australian HPC sector. It seeks to ensure continued and improved access to life-extending and lifesaving HPC transplants for Australian patients.

The implementation of the Framework will now be progressed through the formal allocation of responsibilities to a national entity once legislative, administrative and funding arrangements have been agreed and transitional arrangements determined.
