National Consumer Engagement Strategy for Health and Wellbeing

The Australian Government has developed the National Consumer Engagement Strategy for Health and Wellbeing, which aims to guide and support consumer and community participation in all aspects of health policy-making and decision making, leading to improved policy and health and wellbeing outcomes.

National Consumer Engagement Strategy for Health and Wellbeing

The National Consumer Engagement Strategy for Health and Wellbeing, along with the Health Engagement Learning Platform (HELP) Toolkit, aims to strengthen partnerships between health policymakers and the community. It seeks to build capability of policy makers and empower and support consumers and communities for better informed health policies and programs.

The HELP Toolkit is a supplementary resource developed to support the implementation of the National Consumer Engagement Strategy for Health and Wellbeing.

The primary audience for this Strategy and the HELP Toolkit is policy-makers, across government and non-government settings.
