This framework defines the standards used to monitor the quality of the National Cervical Screening Program. It lists the 10 principles of quality for the program and explains how they are applied. It describes how quality is monitored in:

  • clinical practice
  • program register services
  • program data

The document also includes the National Cervical Screening Program policies, screening pathways and performance indicators.

The framework was developed by the screening program's Quality and Safety Monitoring committee which provides advice on quality and safety aspects of the screening program.
