Overview
Chapter 8 explains various other topics in the Aged Care Act 2024. It includes:
- reviewing decisions made under the Act
- delegating powers and responsibilities
- how the Act applies to partnerships and unincorporated associations
- processes for charging fees, using automated programs and creating forms under the Act
- reporting on and reviewing the Act each year
- making rules that support the Act.
Other provisions and rules to support the aged care system
Chapter 8 of the Aged Care Act 2024 (the Act) sets out the requirements for a range of miscellaneous matters and processes in the aged care system. These support other parts of the Act and give legal basis for how it works in practice.
Chapter 8 sets out how decisions can be reviewed. It also explains who can delegate their responsibilities under the Act and some administrative requirements for the aged care system and the Act.
Chapter 8 also includes requirements for the rules that sit under the Act and set out additional details about how the Act works.
