Cost Recovery Implementation Statement for Second-Tier Default Benefits

This statement describes how the Department of Health recovers the costs of administering private health insurance second-tier default benefits.

This statement:

  • provides information on how we recover costs
  • reports financial performance, including actual expenses, revenue and balance
  • reports non-financial performance, including number of applications received and percentage finalised within 60 days
  • provides financial forecasts for the current year and the next 3 years.
