This document reflects the Government’s official response on 12 September 2024. Some details may have changed since that time as the result of consultation and the deferral of the new Aged Care Act now commencing on 1 November 2025. As a result, the changes to residential care contributions will apply to residents who enter care from 1 November 2025.
