Budget 2019–20: More Choices for a Longer Life – more home care packages

Since December 2017, the Government has announced an additional 40,000 home care packages.

The Government has increased home care packages from 60,308 in 2012–13 to 124,032 in 2018–19 and 157,154 in 2022–23. This Budget funds 10,000 packages ($282.4 million), building on the 10,000 announced at the 2018–19 Mid-Year Fiscal and Economic Outlook and the 20,000 announced since December 2017. This responds to demand for people seeking additional support to live at home longer.
