The Government is investing an additional $27.7 million to support women with breast cancer and increase the number of breast care nurses in Australia to 117 by 2022–23. This increased funding will enable the McGrath Foundation to boost its breast care nurse initiative with an additional 60 nurses. This will deliver holistic and coordinated care services – from diagnosis and through the treatment journey – to more women living in areas of highest need.
