This request looks at the Australian Government’s response to a Productivity Commission’s report 'Caring for Older Australians' and information on reductions in residential aged care subsidies. The reductions to extra service fees were applied on 1 July 2014, following the Living Longer, Living Better reforms and were available to approved aged care providers (with or without extra service status) between 2012 and 2015.
