This request looks at the Australian Government’s response to a Productivity Commission’s report 'Caring for Older Australians' and information on reductions in residential aged care subsidies. The reductions to extra service fees were applied on 1 July 2014, following the Living Longer, Living Better reforms and were available to approved aged care providers (with or without extra service status) between 2012 and 2015. The documents included are:
