SPACED trial
Currently, SPACED (previously referred to as the SSD Service Directory) is being run as a two-year trial to support CHSP providers. An evaluation process will take place at the conclusion of the trial to determine its viability and usefulness to providers.
What the SPACED tool is
Supports for Providers of Aged Care: Expertise Directory (SPACED) is an online tool to connect CHSP providers with available supports and services offered by SSD providers, including:
- individualised services
- resources
- training
- webinars
- collaborative and networking opportunities.
SPACED will help CHSP providers to better understand what supports exist, where and how to access them, and who to contact for more information.
SSD providers can seek support from multiple providers and programs if they meet the specified eligibility. They are not required to access support from the provider/s that are closest to them.
Some activities are also available to aged care volunteers, and aged care consumers, including older people and their families and carers.
Using SPACED
You can search by keyword if you are looking for a specific topic.
We recommend you also apply any relevant filters first to find what you’re looking for. At this time, you can only include one selection per filter at a time.
The available filters are:
- Category: filter by types of support, which are grouped under the following:
- Wellness and reablement
- Recruitment and workforce enhancements
- Engagement on aged care reforms
- Networking and partnerships
- Compliance under the Aged Care Quality Standards
- Reporting, business transformation and operational procedures
- Resources and training
- General information sharing
- Volunteer workforce
- Diversity and inclusion
- Mainstream navigation services
- Translation/interpreting
- Public events
- Eligibility: filter supports that are only available to certain audiences. The filters include:
- CHSP providers
- Aged care volunteers
- Aged care consumers (includes older people, families, carers, friends and anyone interested in the aged care sector)
- Method of delivery: filter by supports available online (including phone and email) and/or in-person.
- Diverse Group: filter for supports tailored for specific diverse groups, as specified in the Aged Care Diversity Framework.
- State/Territory and Aged Care Planning Region (ACPR): filter by location. Note, some supports are delivered nationally, or across specified locations or Local Government Areas (LGAs).
- Provider: filter by a specific provider to find out what supports they offer. Note, SPACED may not include all their available supports, so contact the provider for further information.
