National Notifiable Diseases Surveillance System (NNDSS) data visualisation tool

The National Notifiable Diseases Surveillance System (NNDSS) coordinates data on 71 diseases that present a risk to public health in Australia. Use this tool to view interactive graphs and tables to explore the data for those diseases across different variables. We update the data daily.

The NNDSS coordinates the national surveillance of diseases on the National Notifiable Disease List. These diseases are those that present a risk to public health if there is an outbreak.

This helps us identify trends in diseases, assess the impact of disease control programs and develop policies to reduce the impact of these diseases in Australia.

You can use this tool to explore the data and view interactive graphs and tables for these diseases across different variables, including:

  • notification rates
  • number of notified cases
  • by state and territory
  • by year
  • by month
  • by date range
  • by age group
  • by sex.

We update this data daily, with information provided by the states and territories.

For more information about how to use the tool, see our user guide.
