Managing a multi-purpose service

As an approved provider delivering services under the Multi-Purpose Service Program (MPSP), you must comply with your obligations under legislation and under your MPSP agreement with the Commonwealth.

Your obligations changed on 1 November with the commencement of the Aged Care Act 2024 (the new Act) and the Aged Care Rules 2025. To help understand your new obligations, you can view fact sheets for MPS providers.

In the lead up to the new Act commencing, the department held a series of webinars to assist providers to prepare for the changes. All the webinars, including transcripts can be accessed on the resources page.

Service Agreement template

Under the Aged Care Act 2024 every person receiving funded aged care services needs to have a service agreement in place. A Service Agreement template is available for providers if required.
