About the Frontier Health and Medical Research initiative
The Frontier Health and Medical Research initiative will provide $700 million over 10 years between 2024–25 and 2033–34. It will support researchers to novel and meaningful solutions to intractable health issues that are important to patients, their families and carers, and lead to a tangible impact on Australian health outcomes.
Why it is important
This initiative will support researchers to pursue big ideas to develop new products and interventions and implement these into clinical practice, benefiting patients, clinicians, and the health system.
