Disability Advocacy Support Program

Bringing disability advocacy support together.

The Australian Government is reforming its individual disability advocacy programs.

We know from the Disability Royal Commission that advocacy needs to be easier to access and use.

The Disability Advocacy Support Program (DASP) will bring several current programs together. It will make support easier to find and more consistent across Australia.

The program has been shaped by feedback from people with disability, families, carers and advocacy organisations. To learn more about how the program was developed, read about the consultation process

The Disability Advocacy Support Program will start in late 2026.

Right now, we are selecting the organisations that will deliver the program across Australia.

While this work is under way, we will continue funding organisations through the National Disability Advocacy Program and Disability Advocacy Support Helpline. We will work with providers to make sure people continue to have access to advocacy support.

We will share more information about the program closer to its start.
