About the roadmap
Roadmaps are now available to help the aged care sector prepare for the new Aged Care Act, which starts on 1 November.
There are separate roadmaps for aged care providers and older people, their families and carers.
The roadmap for providers outlines key dates and milestones for:
- digital and systems
- education and training
- legislation and policy
- sector and operational readiness.
The roadmap for older people, their families and carers outlines key dates and milestones for:
- registering supporters in My Aged Care
- receiving estimated contribution percentage rates
- signing new or updated service agreements
- accessing support from advocacy groups to adjust to the changes.
- sector and operational readiness.
As we update the roadmap, we keep the sector informed.
The dates on the roadmap are subject to change, and this page will be updated regularly to keep you informed.
