5 November 2025 - ED-POST is a prototype decision support tool for Emergency Departments, designed to improve pathology test ordering. Developed via stakeholder input and trialled across NSW sites, it aims to reduce low-value care and enhance diagnostic stewardship.

10 June 2025 - This webinar, held on 14 December 2023, provided updates on: the development of the new Aged Care Act, a new model for regulating aged care, the strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards, and in-home aged care reforms, including the new Support at Home program. 16 September 2025 - The care finder program provides support for vulnerable older people to interact with My Aged Care, access aged care services and access other relevant supports in the community.

22 February 2024 - The Tackling Indigenous Smoking (TIS) program aims to reduce smoking rates among First Nations Australians. Local organisations run activities designed to prevent the uptake of smoking, promote quitting, and solve emerging issues, such as the use of e-cigarettes by youth.

31 October 2025 - We consulted on the development of the Aged Care Rules that sit under the new Aged Care Act (new Act). This page contains the resources we developed and released throughout the consultation period. Consultation activity on the Rules is now complete.

22 October 2025 - CHSP providers must prepare for new obligations under the Aged Care Act 2024 from 1 Nov 2025, update agreements, ensure client eligibility, adapt reporting, and comply with regulatory changes.

7 August 2025 - The ONRHC provides policy advice to the minister responsible for rural health. The National Rural Health Commissioner leads work to improve rural health policies and ensure there remains a strong focus on the health needs of rural communities.
