31 October 2025 - We have delivered several reforms to increase transparency and quality in aged care. This includes the new Aged Care Act, a new Code of Conduct for workers, a Star Ratings system, a mandatory minimum of care minutes per resident per day, a 24/7 nursing requirement and new quality indicators.

4 December 2025 - A collection of resources for Hearing Services Program providers, including forms, information sheets, guidelines, policies and the provider handbook.

17 June 2025 - We are accountable for payments made under Medicare programs. We support health practitioners to comply with Medicare requirements, with a focus on prevention and education. We review and audit health practitioners’ claims to make sure they are legitimate.

27 August 2025 - BreastScreen Australia Services and State Coordination Units (SCUs) must be accredited every 4 years. These resources are used in the accreditation process.

3 November 2025 - The STRC Programme provides services to older people for up to 8 weeks to help them delay or avoid long-term care. Read about the STRC Programme, including eligibility, provider responsibilities and delivering services.

4 November 2025 - These resources will help aged care assessors to use the My Aged Care assessor portal. They include fact sheets, guidelines and system user guides.

22 February 2024 - The Tackling Indigenous Smoking (TIS) program aims to reduce smoking rates among First Nations Australians. Local organisations run activities designed to prevent the uptake of smoking, promote quitting, and solve emerging issues, such as the use of e-cigarettes by youth.

4 November 2025 - We are improving financial accountability and transparency in aged care. This will help to ensure continuity of care and quality services to aged care recipients.

23 October 2025 - We are incentivising doctors to specialise in general practice or rural generalism to help build our future GP and Rural Generalist (RG) workforce.
