20 March 2025 - The MBS Review considered how MBS items could be better aligned with contemporary clinical evidence and practice, to improve health outcomes. The review ran from 2015 to 2020. The Australian Government has progressively considered and implemented the recommendations.

28 July 2025 - The Chronic Wound Consumables Scheme (CWCS) covers the cost of wound consumable products for people who have diabetes and a chronic wound, and who are 65 and over, or 50 and over for First Nations people.

18 December 2025 - PHNs manage their region in line with the needs of their community, based on consultation and guidance from community advisory committees and clinical councils, as well as Australian Government health priorities. The program guidelines and performance framework provide structure for the program.

9 January 2026 - As a registered provider, you must offer care, services and equipment in the Residential Care Service List. These include accommodation, everyday living services, non-clinical and clinical care. If agreed, you can charge separately for higher level services.
