World’s first lung scanner brings hope for people living with lung conditions

Funding from the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) has supported the development and commercialisation of the world’s first dedicated lung scanner.

Australians with lung conditions will be able to access the world’s first and only dedicated lung scanner at the Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney.

The XV Scanner will detect disease earlier and more accurately monitor chronic respiratory conditions. 

Funding from the MRFF’s Frontier Health and Medical Research initiative supported the scanner’s development and commercialisation.
