The annual update of the Distribution Priority Areas (DPA) and the Districts of Workforce Shortage (DWS) for specialists will be available on 1 July 2020

To ensure distribution of medical workforce to locations where they are needed most, the DPA (for GPs) and DWS (for specialists) systems facilitate placing restricted medical practitioners into communities of greatest need across Australia.
