TGA approval of Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine for people 6 years and older

The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has provisionally approved the Spikevax (Moderna) vaccine, for people 6 years and older.

The decision follows the provisional approvals granted by the TGA to Moderna for the use of the vaccine in people 12 years and older and as a booster dose for people 18 years and older.

Further advice on the rollout of the Moderna vaccine for children aged 6 to 11 will be provided to Government by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI).
