The Private Health Insurance Legislation Amendment Rules (No.4) 2026 (the Amendment Rules) make consequential changes to the Private Health Insurance (Complying Product) Rules 2015 and Private Health Insurance (Benefit Requirement) Rules 2011. These reflect changes commencing from 1 July 2026 to MBS items in the General Medical Services Table (GMST), Pathology Services Table (PST) and Diagnostic Imaging Services Table (DIST), and those made by reason of Ministerial Determination under subsection 3C(1) of the Health Insurance Act 1973.

The Amendment Rules were registered on 12 June 2026 Private Health Insurance Legislation Amendment Rules (No.4) 2026 on the  Federal Register of Legislation and commence from 1 July 2026. Further details on the Amendment Rules can be found in the accompanying Explanatory Statement.
