PHI 35/19 Updates to the Prostheses List Guide to listing and setting benefits for prostheses

This circular is to advise that the Prostheses List: Guide to listing and setting benefits for prostheses has been updated.

In addition to a number of minor changes, these changes include:

  • updated content to reflect the 3 prostheses listing cycles each year
  • updated the assessment process for situations where a sponsor is seeking a higher benefit
  • removal of the review process text – sponsors will be advised on the new process
  • updated contact information for the department.

A frequently asked questions document on these changes has also been prepared.

The department is currently reviewing the guide, including reviewing the application process and Part B, and welcomes any feedback or comments.
