PHI 31/22 – Prostheses List reform – Adjusted Prostheses List (PL) benefit amounts for July 2022

We have published 2 documents providing advice on the Prostheses List adjusted benefit amounts.  These document are to support stakeholders that need to update their systems and prepare other changes.

1. Advice on the prostheses list adjusted benefit amounts by grouping for the July 2022 PL update
2. Advice on the prostheses list adjusted benefit amounts by billing code from July 2022 to July 2023 – Including the benefit reduction for General Use Items scheduled for March 2023

The new benefits are the result of applying the public benchmarking work by the Independent Hospital Pricing Authority (IHPA).

We will give sponsors the draft Prostheses List in June 2022, February 2023 and June 2023, as per standard practice for the regular PL updates.

The standard drafts will contain new and amended listings and the adjusted benefit amounts effective from 1 July 2022.
