The Private Health Insurance Legislation Amendment Rules (No. 1) 2021 (the Amendment Rules) were registered on the Federal Register of Legislation on 25 February 2021 and commence on 1 March 2021.
The Amendment Rules effect changes to Private Health Insurance Rules to classify new and amended MBS items commencing 1 March 2021, and remove deleted items where appropriate, in the:
- Private Health Insurance (Benefit Requirement) Rules 2011
- Schedule 1 for Type A-Surgical and Schedule 3 for Type B non-band specific procedure type changes; and,
- Private Health Insurance (Complying Product) Rules 2015
- Schedule 5 Clinical categories list.
