$6 million for research to tackle diabetes and cardiovascular disease in Indigenous communities

We are providing almost $6 million to boost the health and wellbeing of First Nations people. Funding is from the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF).

Six projects will find new ways to improve the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and management of diabetes and cardiovascular disease in Indigenous communities.

Funding is from the Targeted Translation Research Accelerator program under the MRFF’s Preventive and Public Health Research initiative.
