$15 million for research to better treat prostate and childhood cancer

The Australian Government has announced $15 million for the development of next-generation medicines to better treat prostate and childhood cancer. Funding is from the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF).

The Australian Centre for Targeted Therapeutics will receive $15 million to develop next-generation medicines with greater efficacy and fewer side effects. Read the media release for more information.

This funding is from the MRFF’s Frontier Health and Medical Research initiative.

The 2022 Frontier Health and Medical Research grant opportunity is providing $400 million over 9 years:

  • for ambitious, exploratory and ground-breaking programs of research (‘moonshots’)
  • that deliver treatments for serious and incurable health conditions through a series of linked projects.
