The Australian Government Chief Medical Officer, Professor Paul Kelly, has today lifted the Hotspot for the Victorian local government area of Mitchell shire for the purpose of Commonwealth support.

Today, Professor Kelly has lifted the Hotspot for the Victorian LGA of Mitchell Shire for the purpose of Commonwealth support from 11:59pm tonight, 13 October 2021 to align with the Victorian government announcement that this area will be released from the state-declared lockdown from midnight.

Professor Kelly thanks the people in this area for their efforts to protect themselves and their community with the COVID-19 vaccine and for following their local Health Department directions.
