Home Care Package subsidy increasing to pass on wage rise

We are increasing the Home Care Package subsidy on 1 January 2025 to pass on the Fair Work Commission Stage 3 decision to increase award wages for eligible workers.

We are increasing the Home Care Package subsidy on 1 January 2025 by 0.93% to pass on the Fair Work Commission Stage 3 decision to increase award wages for eligible workers.

From 1 October 2025, the subsidy will increase again by 0.44%.

This increase to the value of Home Care Packages will be sufficient to cover increased wages and ensure care recipients continue to receive the same care and services.

If providers need to adjust their pricing models to reasonably increase charges for care and services, they must seek agreement from their care recipients.
