We have committed to implementing a national registration scheme to support personal care workers employed in aged care.

From February to April this year, we invited older people, carers, providers, workers and organisations to share their views on the design and new training and skills requirements of the registration scheme.

Thank you to everyone who provided input. This feedback will help shape future policies to professionalise the personal care workforce and increase protections for older people receiving aged care services.

The consultation summary report is now available.
